Matthew Anderson

Matthew Anderson is a senior at Bronson High School (BHS). He is also enrolled in the CAD/CAM program at the Branch Area Careers Center (BACC). His On-the-Job Training (OJT) placement is at JTEKT Column Systems in Bronson, Michigan, under the direction of Scott Snyder. His job duties include operating a mill, lathe, and grinder, as well as tearing down steering columns.

At the BACC, Matt has earned multiple TITANS of CNC certifications in both Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM). He is also a member of SkillsUSA.

At BHS, Matt plays varsity basketball.

Matt’s favorite part of his OJT placement is using the skills he learned at the BACC in real-world situations. He also enjoys interacting with his coworkers.

In his spare time, Matt likes being outdoors and helping on his family’s farm.

Scott Snyder says, “Matt is a very fast learner and a great employee here. It’s been fun seeing his confidence grow. He programs and runs our machinery like someone who’s been here for a couple of years. I’d love to see him stay on after high school.”

Matthew is the son of Doug and Gloria Anderson.
