Head Start is a federally-funded preschool program that serves three- to five-year-old children based upon eligibility. The program is based upon a curriculum that promotes cognitive, socio-emotional and physical development.  Language and early literacy is an emphasis.  Health screenings, health and dental treatment, meals, transportation, parent education and involvement are all important aspects of the program.

Great Start Readiness
