Academic The student should read and have math skills at least at the 8th grade level. Prior experience reading a tape measure and simple blueprints would be beneficial. Responsibility Students must be willing to practice the procedure until it is mastered. The student must be able to follow instructions and safety procedures. Welding can be a dangerous occupation if safety procedures are not followed. Physical The students should have good hand-eye coordination and the ability to stay on task. The student should be able to tolerate heat as it an get very hot in the welding shop. |
